John A. Lemens, 66, New Franken, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at a local hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Green Bay, Oct. 8, 1942, he is the son of Tee (Servais) and the late Andrew Lemens. John married the former Jacqueline Schultz on March 19, 1977, in Green Bay. He worked at Schuster Construction, Best Western Suites, and was a former owner and manager of C. Street Tavern. John had a passion for his T-Bird, which he loved to show at classic car shows and parades.
He is survived by his spouse, Jacqueline, New Franken; daughter, Julie Lemens, Hilton Head, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Amy Lemens and Jim and Tami Lemens, all of Gillett; five grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, David and Diane Schultz, Blair Neb.and their children; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sherry and Jim Cravillion, New Franken; and Sue and Ron Nellis, Luxemburg; stepfather and mother, Gordon and Tee Kellner, Green Bay; nieces and nephews; feline friends, Joe and Sarah.
John was preceded in death by his father, Andrew; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Delores and Arnold Schultz; and canine companion, Molly.
A private memorial is planned at a later date for family and friends.
