Bishop, Doris Irene

Doris Irene Bishop, 88, Bellevue, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, after a short illness. Doris was born in Green Bay, Wis., on Feb. 9, 1920, to Rudy and Minnie (Hartmann) Halfpap. She married the late Norman (Nibs) Bishop on July 7, 1941, in Green Bay. Doris graduated from West High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was a former member of the Green Bay Curling Club, Green Bay Service League and for many years enjoyed volunteering at Heritage Hill.

She is survived by her children, Carole (Ken) Reignier, De Pere; Blair (Carla) Bishop, Fond du Lac; Lee (Pat) Bishop, Appleton; and Bruce (Cheryl) Bishop, Sturgeon Bay; her grandchildren, Katie (David) Formisano, Chandler, Ariz.; Brian (Kristina) Reignier, De Pere; Elizabeth (Bill) Boyle, Appleton; Greta (Aaron) Sauer, De Pere; Emalie, Matthew and Christopher Bishop, Sturgeon Bay; and her great-grandchildren, Ben and Caroline Formisano, Liam and Lauren Boyle, and Tate Sauer. She is further survived by a sister, Carole Daniels, Escanaba, Mich.; a sister-in-law, Bea Halfpap, Green Bay; nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Donald Halfpap; and a brother-in-law, William Daniels.

Friends and family may call Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere. Funeral Prayer Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Cemetery.
