A red-tailed hawk was released back into its natural environment Wednesday after receiving help from many people over three months.

The female hawk was found in August with a head injury by a Georgia-Pacific Corp. employee on the roof of one of the paper machines and picked up by the Green Bay Police-Animal Control.
From there, the adult hawk was taken to the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary for rehabilitation.
After a few months of care — and lots of supporters aiding her success — the hawk made a full recovery and was released back to her natural setting, near the Georgia-Pacific facility.
